NPFL: Rivers United Held By Ranchers Bees, Move To Second

Rivers United were held to a goalless draw by Ranchers Bees in their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Matchday Six encounter at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, on Monday.

Both teams created opportunities to break the deadlock, but poor finishing prevented either side from finding the back of the net.

The result extended Rivers United’s unbeaten start to the NPFL season as they continued their strong run under head coach Finidi George.

Rivers United have now recorded three wins and two draws from their five matches, with the Port Harcourt-based club still having a game in hand.

The draw moved Rivers United into second position on the NPFL table with 11 points as they continue their push at the top of the standings.

Ranchers Bees also moved up the table, climbing from 15th to 11th position after securing a valuable away point.

Rivers United will next travel to face Katsina United as they look to return to winning ways, while Ranchers Bees will travel to Ilorin to take on Kwara United.
