Natasha Osawaru, the wife of Nigerian music star 2Baba, has sparked speculation about a possible separation after appearing in a video in which she used her maiden name instead of the singer’s surname.

The Edo State lawmaker was seen addressing members of the Edo State House of Assembly in a video circulating online, introducing herself as Natasha Irobosa Osawaru rather than Natasha Osawaru Idibia, the name she had previously used.

Her decision to use her maiden name has raised questions about the state of her marriage to the singer amid reports of tensions in their relationship.

However, neither Natasha nor 2Baba has officially announced a separation, and the name change alone does not confirm that their marriage has ended.

Natasha and 2Baba’s Relationship Under Scrutiny

The couple’s relationship has attracted public attention since they went public with their romance in 2025.

Natasha was reportedly absent from 2Baba’s 51st birthday celebration in September, where the singer was said to have been accompanied by four of his children and his mother.

In August, reports also emerged that the couple had a disagreement at a club in Abuja. According to an eyewitness cited in the report, Natasha arrived at the venue with her entourage after learning that 2Baba was there. The singer reportedly managed to calm the situation.

The report also stated that the musician later appealed to Nigerians to forgive him and his family during a concert in December.

Details of 2Baba and Natasha’s Marriage

2Baba and Natasha reportedly held a private traditional wedding ceremony on July 25, 2025, attended by close family members, including the singer’s parents.

The couple were also reported to have welcomed their first child together in November 2025, although they kept the baby’s gender private.

Their relationship has faced public scrutiny following reports of an altercation in the United Kingdom last year and a heated exchange during a livestream.

Natasha’s recent appearance using her maiden name has added to the speculation surrounding their marriage. However, there has been no official confirmation that the couple have separated.
