UCL: Why We Beat Man Utd 4-1 – Como Coach Cesc Fabregas
Como head coach Cesc Fabregas has explained his team’s 4-1 victory over Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, praising his players for their performance.
Fabregas watched his side secure an impressive win against the Premier League club at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, with Como delivering a strong display to claim all three points.
Nico Paz scored twice, while Anastasios Douvikas and Jacobo Ramón also found the net to seal the victory for the Italian side. Manchester United managed only a consolation goal through Joshua Zirkzee.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia after the match, Fabregas expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance but warned his players against becoming complacent after the convincing result.
“The team played well this evening, but we need to keep our feet on the ground and remember there is another match coming up on Saturday,” the Spanish coach said.
Fabregas stressed the importance of maintaining focus, noting that Como must quickly turn their attention to their next fixture rather than dwell on their Champions League triumph.
The former Barcelona and Arsenal midfielder also revealed that he had a special person in mind when dedicating the victory, highlighting the contribution of someone behind the scenes at the club.
