UCL: ‘Very dangerous, one of world’s best’ – Stuttgart’s Mittelstädt hails Osimhen
Stuttgart defender Maximilian Mittelstädt has described Victor Osimhen as one of the best strikers in world football ahead of his team’s UEFA Champions League meeting with Galatasaray.
The German left-back acknowledged the threat posed by the Nigerian international, praising his consistency, attacking ability and impressive performances over recent seasons.
Osimhen has made an excellent start to the current campaign, scoring 10 goals in 10 appearances across all competitions. His recent performances include a goal against his former club Lille in the Champions League.
Although the Super Eagles forward received treatment during Galatasaray’s latest Turkish Süper Lig fixture, he is expected to be available for the clash against Stuttgart.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Mittelstädt warned his teammates about Galatasaray’s attacking quality, particularly Osimhen’s threat.
“We prepared for Galatasaray. We know that are very good defensively but also have exceptional players in attack, like, Osimhen, who is very dangerous,” he said.

He continued: “He has shown over the last few years that he is perhaps one of the best strikers in the world. Galatasaray have not only him in attack but have brought in many good players including international stars, and we also have good players in defence. We know that it will demand everything from us but I know we will go into the game well prepared.” Osimhen has scored eight Champions League goals for Galatasaray and is closing in on Burak Yılmaz’s record of 10 goals as the club’s joint second-highest scorer in the competition.
