‘I Can’t Date, Marry Man Who Wants Me To Cook Regularly’ – Mercy Eke

Former Big Brother Naija winner Mercy Eke has shared her views on relationships and domestic responsibilities, saying she cannot date or marry a man who expects her to cook for him every day.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Toke Moments Podcast hosted by Toke Makinwa, the reality TV star said she only enjoys cooking occasionally and only when she feels like it.

According to Mercy, any man who wants freshly prepared meals daily should consider hiring a chef because she is not willing to take on that responsibility regularly.

She said:

“I can’t marry or date a man who wants me to cook for him regularly. I only cook once in a while when I am in the mood. If you want fresh food every day, hire a chef.

“It can’t be me. Love can never make me cook for a man every day. I’m not the woman for that kind of man. There are other women out there who will gladly do that, which is fine.”

Mercy stressed that compatibility is important in relationships and advised people to choose partners whose expectations align with theirs.

She added:

“That is why it’s important to marry who has what you are looking for.

“So, if you marry me and you are thinking you don’t eat overnight food, it’s not me. I can’t cook every day.”
