Canadian rapper and singer Drake has lost another major sports bet after Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
Drake had placed a $1.5 million wager on Argentina to win the match through betting platform Stake, hoping to receive a payout of $5.1 million. However, Spain’s victory meant the bet was unsuccessful.
The latest loss has once again fueled discussions about the so-called “Drake Curse,” a popular internet theory that claims teams or athletes publicly backed by the Canadian superstar often end up losing.
Earlier this year, Drake also lost a high-profile bet after backing former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor, who was defeated by Max Holloway.
