Transfer: Turkish Club Interested In Awoniyi
Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been linked with a move to Turkish Super Lig club Caykur Rizespor.
The Turkish club is looking to strengthen its attack ahead of the new season and has identified the Nottingham Forest forward as a potential target.

Awoniyi, 29, struggled for regular playing time at Nottingham Forest last season due to persistent injury problems.
The Nigerian forward was not registered by Forest for the UEFA Europa League and was only included in the club’s Premier League squad after compatriot Ola Aina suffered an injury that kept him out for much of the first half of the season.
Awoniyi scored four goals and provided one assist in 17 Premier League appearances for Forest during the 2025/26 season.
With Igor Jesus and Chris Wood ahead of him in the pecking order, the former Union Berlin striker could be open to leaving the City Ground in search of more regular playing time.
Awoniyi has featured regularly for Nottingham Forest in pre-season matches, but it remains to be seen whether he has done enough to impress new manager Oliver Gleaner and secure a place in the squad for the new campaign.
