“Na Fight We Go Fight” — Singer Orezi Vows To End Friendships Over Support For Lindsay Clancy

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Orezi has vowed to end friendships with anyone who supports American mother Lindsay Clancy following the mistrial in her high-profile murder case.

Orezi, whose real name is Esegine Allen, made his position known in a post on his Instagram Story, strongly rejecting views sympathetic to Clancy over the deaths of her three children.

The singer said he would reconsider his friendship with anyone who supports Clancy, regardless of how they interpret the case.

Addressing his friends, Orezi said anyone supporting Clancy “in any type of way, no matter what angle you decide to judge her situation from” should consider their friendship over.

He added, “Your reasoning is impaired and I can’t deal with such.”

Making his position clearer, the singer warned that if the issue resulted in an argument, “Na fight we go fight.”

Clancy’s case has sparked widespread debate over criminal responsibility, postpartum mental illness and the deaths of her three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, eight months.

Clancy was accused of strangling her children at their Massachusetts home in January 2023. Her defence argued that she was not criminally responsible due to postpartum psychosis and psychiatric medication, while prosecutors maintained that the killings were deliberate.

After a five-week trial and nearly 40 hours of jury deliberations, the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict, leading the judge to declare a mistrial.

Clancy remains at a state psychiatric hospital, with a status hearing scheduled for September 29.
