2026 Ballon d’Or: He Has The Edge – Rummenigge Predicts Player To Win Award
Former Bayern Munich executive board chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes Harry Kane has a strong chance of winning the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Rummenigge, who was the last Bayern Munich player to win the prestigious individual award, hopes the England captain can end the German club’s long wait for another winner.
He believes Kane stands out among the 30 nominees because of his performances and achievements during the season.
Rummenigge said he would be delighted to see another Bayern Munich player claim the award after his own success.
“I was the last Bayern player to win the award, so I would like to see another Bayern player win it now,” he said.
He further backed Kane, pointing to the striker’s goals and trophies as important factors in his Ballon d’Or case.
“Harry Kane has the edge there – his goals and his trophies speak for themselves,” Rummenigge added.
