Lady Gaga And Fiancé Michael Polansky Welcome First Child Via Surrogate

American singer Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl reportedly born through a surrogate.

According to TMZ, the couple’s daughter, Rose Bean Polansky, was born on June 9, 2026, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The couple has kept details about their family life private, making the arrival of their first child a major development in their relationship. TMZ reported that the birth certificate revealed the baby’s name, sex and other details surrounding her birth.

The baby was reportedly delivered by Dr Robert Katz, an obstetrician and gynaecologist who has also been involved in the births of children of celebrities Ciara and Russell Wilson.

The name Rose is believed to have a personal connection to Lady Gaga. The singer has a rose tattoo on her back, which is associated with her performance of “La Vie En Rose” in the 2018 film A Star Is Born. Her middle name, Bean, has also been linked to singer and LGBTQ activist Carl Bean, who inspired Gaga’s song and album Born This Way.

TMZ reported that the reason Gaga and Polansky chose surrogacy has not been publicly established. Gaga has previously spoken about living with fibromyalgia, but there has been no official statement confirming that the condition was connected to their decision to use a surrogate.

Lady Gaga and Polansky began dating in 2019 and became engaged in 2024. The couple has largely maintained a private relationship, and recent reports said they have been spending time away from the spotlight with their newborn daughter.

The arrival of Rose Bean Polansky marks a new chapter for Gaga and Polansky as they begin parenthood together.
