NPFL: Osanga Upbeat Nasarawa United Won’t Lose To Kwara United

Nasarawa United captain King Osanga is confident his team can secure a positive result against Kwara United in their NPFL Matchday Five clash.

The Solid Miners will face Kwara United at the Rashidi Yekini Stadium in Ilorin on Wednesday, as they look to return to winning ways.

Nasarawa United were held to a home draw by Rivers United last Sunday, a result Osanga admitted was not what the team wanted.

“It’s not always an easy game against Rivers United, unfortunately the draw wasn’t the result we wanted in our home, we are looking at bouncing back against Kwara United here in Ilorin,” Osanga told Toshsports.

The captain acknowledged that Kwara United will have an advantage from playing in front of their home supporters, but insisted that Nasarawa United have their own plans for the encounter.

“Kwara United will always have the advantage because they are playing in front of their supporters but we have our own plans and we are determined to get at least a point in the game.”

Osanga also said Nasarawa United are determined to improve on their performance from last season and finish higher in the league this campaign. “We all know how we started last season but in football there is always ups and downs. This season we want to better our performance and finish better than last season.” Nasarawa United finished sixth in the league last season.
