Veteran Nigerian Rapper, Lord Of Ajasa Becomes US Citizen

Veteran Nigerian rapper Olusegun Osaniyi, popularly known as Lord of Ajasa, has become a United States citizen, prompting congratulatory messages from colleagues and fans.

The rapper shared the development on his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, where he was seen holding his American citizenship certificate.

In another video, Lord of Ajasa and his wife were seen posing with the American flag.

The development has also revived conversations about Lord of Ajasa’s place in the history of indigenous Nigerian hip-hop, particularly his role in popularising Yoruba rap before the emergence of artistes such as Dagrin, Olamide and Reminisce.
