According to Peller, marrying outside one’s tribe is a better option, adding that he would not marry a fellow Yoruba woman.
“You need to marry another tribe, don’t marry from the same tribe,” he said.
Peller also disclosed that he married a woman from Benin, using his relationship as an example while explaining his position.
He further referenced his parents, who are both Yoruba, as he discussed his views on marriage within the same ethnic group.
Acknowledging that his comments might offend some people, the streamer appealed to Nigerians not to take offence, saying, “Make Una no vex.”
His remarks have drawn attention to the subject of interethnic marriages and the role ethnicity plays in Nigerians’ choice of life partners.
