Champions League Table: PSG, Liverpool Only Perfect Teams After Tuesday’s Matches
Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool remain the only teams with perfect records after winning their opening three matches in the UEFA Champions League following Tuesday’s fixtures.
PSG secured a thrilling 4-2 victory over Barcelona at the Parc des Princes, with late goals from Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz helping the defending champions claim all three points.
Désiré Doué and Lucas Hernandez scored for the French side, while Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal found the net for Barcelona. However, PSG’s late attacking pressure proved decisive.
Luis Enrique’s men remain top of the Champions League table with a goal difference of +9, ahead of Liverpool, who occupy second place.
Liverpool also maintained their winning run after coming from behind to defeat Villarreal at Anfield. The Reds secured a 4-2 victory, recording their third consecutive win in the competition.
Stuttgart, Aston Villa and Barcelona complete the top five positions in the standings, with Barcelona remaining among the leading teams despite their defeat in Paris.
