Fire Breaks Out At Filling Station In Abuja

A fire has broken out at the AYM Shafa filling station in the Area 3 district of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The incident has prompted the deployment of emergency responders to the scene as efforts continue to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings and facilities.

The National Public Relations Officer of the Federal Fire Service, Paul Abraham, confirmed the incident in a statement.

He said firefighters were already at the scene working to bring the situation under control while protecting residents, motorists, business owners and other members of the public in the area.

Abraham said:

“The Federal Fire Service empathises with everyone affected by the ongoing fire incident at AYM Shafa Petrol Station, Area 3, Abuja.

“We understand the concern this situation may have caused to residents, motorists, business owners, and members of the public, and we assure everyone that their safety remains our highest priority.

“Our firefighters are currently on the ground, working tirelessly and professionally to confine the fire, prevent its spread, and bring the situation under control as quickly and safely as possible.”

The Federal Fire Service also expressed sympathy to those affected by the incident and assured residents that efforts were ongoing to control the situation.

As of the time of filing the report, the cause of the fire had not been established.
