CAFCL/CC: Rangers, Shooting Stars To Play Home Matches In Abeokuta

Rangers and Shooting Stars will play their home matches in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta.

Rangers, who are the current Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, had earlier agreed with Remo Stars to use the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne for their home games.

However, after discussions with their technical crew led by Fidelis Ilechukwu, Rangers decided to move their home matches to Abeokuta.

Shooting Stars had also initially selected the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne as their home venue but will now play their matches in Abeokuta.

Rangers will face AS Sobemap of Benin Republic in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

Shooting Stars, meanwhile, will take on Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
