NPFL: Rangers, Rivers United, El-Kanemi, 3SC Clash In Pre-Season Tournament
Rangers, Rivers United, Shooting Stars and El-Kanemi Warriors will take part in a pre-season tournament in Jos, Plateau State, as they prepare for the 2026-27 football season.
The tournament is scheduled to run from Monday, August 17 to Sunday, August 24, and is aimed at helping the Nigerian clubs prepare for their upcoming CAF competitions.
NPFL side Plateau United and Nigeria National League (NNL) club Mighty Jets will also participate in the tournament.
Reigning NPFL champions Rangers and league runners-up Rivers United will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League this season.
Shooting Stars, who finished third in the NPFL, and 2026 President Federation Cup champions El-Kanemi Warriors will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
