Bandits Attack Palace, Kill District Head In Niger
Bandits have reportedly killed the District Head of Galla under the Borgu Emirate in Niger State during an attack on his palace.
The incident was disclosed by security analyst Bakatsine in a post shared on X on Monday.
According to him, the traditional ruler was targeted after reportedly warning bandits to stop entering his community.

“Bandits have killed the District Head of Galla, under the Borgu Emirate in Niger State, during an attack at his palace,” Bakatsine wrote.
He added that the deceased monarch was a brother to the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi.
The latest attack adds to the security challenges facing communities in Niger State, where residents and traditional institutions have continued to face threats from criminal groups.
As of the time of reporting, there was no official statement from the Niger State Government or security agencies confirming the circumstances surrounding the attack.
