Transfer: Nigerian Defender Seals Loan Move To Slovakian Club AS Trenčín

Nigerian defender Ridwan Sanusi has joined Slovakian club AS Trenčín on a season-long loan deal.

The agreement, according to the club’s official website, includes an option for AS Trenčín to make the transfer permanent.

Sanusi joins Trenčín from another Slovakian club, MŠK Žilina.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Podbrezová, where he impressed by providing three assists in 25 appearances.

The right-winger began his professional career in Slovakia with ŠKF Sereď in 2021.

He later had loan spells with second-tier clubs Trebišov and Pohronie, where he gained valuable first-team experience.

Sanusi made a bigger impact during his time at Podbrezová, featuring in 45 league matches across two seasons and scoring 10 goals.

His performances earned him a move to MŠK Žilina last summer, and he has now secured another opportunity with AS Trenčín as he continues his career development in Slovakia.
