Adamawa Man Arraigned For Stealing 27 Pieces Of Women’s Underwear
A 27-year-old man in Adamawa State, Muktar Shehu, has been arraigned over the alleged theft of 27 pieces of women’s underwear, which police said he stole for ritual purposes.
Shehu, who is from Zango Ward in Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area, was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Court 3 in Yola.
The Adamawa State Police Command charged him with house trespass, theft and criminal charm.

Police Prosecutor Danjuma Hamidu told the court that Shehu allegedly broke into the house of Halima Yakubu on August 6, 2026, and stole 27 pieces of underwear belonging to her.
The First Information Report tendered before the court stated that the suspect later confessed during police interrogation that he stole the underwear for ritual purposes.
Following his arraignment, the court remanded Shehu in custody.
