Alexx Ekubo’s Sister, Chioma Shares Grief Over Brother’s Demise

Chioma, the sister of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, has expressed her deep sorrow following the death of her brother.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, Chioma said Alexx’s passing has left her heartbroken and struggling to cope with life without him.

She recalled the special bond they shared and said she had always looked forward to growing old with her brother, enjoying his jokes, advice, and companionship.

She wrote, “My ANGELBEING, it’s been a cold Earth since you left with your warmth. How do I navigate life without you in it, my brother? This was not the plan NNAM. I always looked forward to old age with you, your jokes, your advices and admonition. You hurt me brother by taking of the way you did without a proper good bye. I m shattered beyond words, hardly a seconds go by without the thoughts of you. I hope you are watching and not silent.”

Meanwhile, veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie also paid tribute to Alexx Ekubo, describing him as a cheerful, energetic, and kind-hearted person who made a lasting impact on the Nigerian movie industry.

Speaking in an interview with PM News, Edochie said although he met Alexx only three times, each encounter remained memorable because of the late actor’s warm personality.

He recalled that on one occasion, Alexx visited him at his hotel with a cow and a group of Ogene drummers to invite him to an event.

Edochie also revealed that Alexx had spoken about plans to celebrate his 80th birthday next year, but those plans would no longer happen because of his untimely death.

The veteran actor further praised IK Ogbonna, saying he remained a loyal friend to Alexx during his lifetime and continued to show that loyalty even after his passing.
