Former France international Louis Saha has backed Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford to win the Ballon d’Or for the Red Devils in the future.

According to Saha, Rashford has the talent and ability to compete for the prestigious individual award if he can regain his best form and maintain the right mentality.

Rashford recently returned to Manchester United following a successful loan spell at Barcelona.

The 28-year-old featured for United in their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Hull City last weekend.

Speaking to Mr Gamble, as quoted by Football365, Saha said:

“Marcus Rashford can still be Manchester United’s surprise package this season if he can bring the right mentality and erase a lot of the things that have been said.”

Saha also expressed his disappointment over Rashford’s recent struggles, insisting that the England international has the quality to reach the highest level of football.

“It saddens me to see Rashford in this situation because I truly believe he has the talent to win the Ballon d’Or at Manchester United, scoring 25, 30 goals a season for the club he used to love.”
