Ballon d’Or: ‘I Love Him’ – Rio Ferdinand Names Player To Win Award

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand believes Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has what it takes to win the Ballon d’Or in the future.

Ferdinand made the comments while speaking with former Manchester United teammate Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast.

The former England defender agreed with Chicharito’s view that Bellingham is often underrated despite his outstanding performances.

“I love him. I will go as far as saying I think he will win a Ballon d’Or one day,” Ferdinand said.

Bellingham joined Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in 2023 and has since developed into one of the best midfielders in world football.

The England international is also expected to be among the contenders for the 2026 Ballon d’Or following his impressive performances for England at the FIFA World Cup.
