Being A Celebrity Is Expensive, I Spend Up To ₦400 Million Monthly – Davido

Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that maintaining his lifestyle as a celebrity comes with enormous financial responsibilities, saying he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 (about ₦300 million to ₦400 million) every month.

The singer made the disclosure during a recent livestream with streamer Davrel, where he spoke about the high cost of living as one of Africa’s biggest music stars.

According to Davido, his monthly expenses cover only his personal lifestyle and business commitments. He noted that the figure does not include the expenses of his wife, Chioma Adeleke, or other members of his household.

He also clarified that the amount excludes major luxury purchases such as cars and jewellery.

Davido said:

“I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household.

“It also doesn’t include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewellery.”

The singer’s revelation has sparked reactions on social media, with many fans expressing surprise at the scale of his monthly spending, while others noted that maintaining a global music career, a large team, and an affluent lifestyle naturally comes with significant costs.
