Belgian Club, Zulte Waregem Sign Nigerian Youngster

Belgian club Zulte Waregem have announced the signing of Nigerian youngster Maliq Musa from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Ikorodu City.

The Belgian outfit reportedly beat Spanish giants Barcelona and several other top European clubs to secure the youngster’s signature.

Musa will initially join Jong Essevee, Zulte Waregem’s U-23 team, where he is expected to continue his development and adapt to Belgian football.

The club will monitor his progress as he works towards earning a place in the senior team.

The Nigerian youngster made nine league appearances for Ikorodu City last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

Musa has already begun training with his new teammates as he starts the next stage of his football career in Belgium.
