Longtime Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves paid tribute to Siyavus on Instagram on Monday, sharing a clip from her post-eviction interview on the show.

“Rest in Peace, Amber. It’s hard to believe, but I know you’re back in our eternal home with our Creator. Thank you for being open and honest. We’ll remember you with love,” Chen Moonves wrote.

Siyavus competed in the eighth season of Big Brother in 2007. During her time on the show, she developed close relationships with fellow housemates Jameka Cameron and Dustin Erikstrup.

She was also known for her emotional moments and frequent tears, which earned her the nickname “Whamber.”

Siyavus was the eighth houseguest to be evicted and finished seventh in the competition. Dick “Evel Dick” Donato eventually won the season.

Her death comes nearly nine years after her 18-year-old daughter, Lexi Tomcavage, died in an apparent suicide in January 2018, according to TMZ, which first reported the news of her daughter’s death.
