British pop singer Lauren Bennett, best known for her vocals on LMFAO’s 2011 hit song Party Rock Anthem, has died at the age of 37.

The news of her passing was confirmed on Monday by her girl group, G.R.L, in a tribute shared on Instagram.

In the emotional post, the group described Lauren as a kind and loving person whose energy touched the lives of many people.

The statement read, “We share with deep sadness the death of our darling Lauren. Our hearts are devastated, and we can’t describe how much she meant to us. We will always treasure the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us.

“Her beautiful spirit impacted so many lives, and she will be sadly missed and always cherished. Rest peacefully, Lauren. You’ll always be in our hearts.”

The cause of her death has not been made public.

Lauren Bennett was born in Meopham, Kent, and began singing at local talent shows, pubs, and bars before auditioning for The X Factor as a teenager. Although she did not make it into the final 12 contestants, she later moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17 and joined the girl group Paradiso Girls.

The group’s 2009 single Patron Tequila, featuring Lil Jon and Eve, reached No. 3 on the US Dance Club Songs chart.

Lauren gained international recognition in 2011 after providing vocals on LMFAO’s global hit Party Rock Anthem. She later became a member of G.R.L, whose biggest hit, Ugly Heart, achieved success in the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
