Burna Boy, Shakira Smash World Cup Record As ‘Dai Dai’ Crosses 800 Million Streams

Nigerian Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy and Colombian superstar Shakira have set a new FIFA World Cup music record after their official 2026 tournament anthem, “Dai Dai,” surpassed 800 million combined streams across Spotify and YouTube Music.

The song has recorded more than 200 million streams on Spotify and over 600 million views on YouTube Music, making it the highest-performing official FIFA World Cup song during the 2026 tournament.

According to figures released after the competition, “Dai Dai” has also become the most-viewed FIFA World Cup music video since Shakira’s “La La La (Brazil 2014).”

Released ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the collaboration gained massive popularity throughout the tournament as football fans across different countries embraced the song during match celebrations and fan events.

The milestone further cements “Dai Dai” as the defining soundtrack of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and marks another major global achievement for Burna Boy and Shakira.
