Burna Boy Stopped Speaking To Me Over Rumours That I Slept With His Girlfriend – Shatta Wale

Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale has claimed that his relationship with Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy ended after false rumours surfaced that he had an affair with Burna Boy’s girlfriend.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Shatta Wale said he warmly welcomed Burna Boy during one of his visits to Ghana by providing him with accommodation, cars and everything he needed during his stay.

According to the dancehall star, things changed after he parted ways with some members of his team, who allegedly began spreading false stories about him to influential people in his life.

“They told Burna Boy that I was f**king his girl he brought to Ghana. He just bought it,” he claimed.

Shatta Wale said he repeatedly tried to contact Burna Boy after the Nigerian singer’s career grew internationally, but his calls and messages were ignored.

He also claimed that he reached out to Burna Boy’s mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, but was only given reasons why the singer could not speak with him.

Despite what happened, Shatta Wale said he is happy about Burna Boy’s success on the global music scene. However, he expressed disappointment that Burna Boy never gave him the opportunity to explain that the allegations made by his former team members were false.
