Celebrity Boxing: ‘I Want To Fight Terry G To Revive His Career’ – Portable
Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has challenged veteran musician Terry G to a celebrity boxing match.
Portable made the call during an interview on Channels Television’s Rubbin’ Minds, where he was asked which celebrity he would like to face in the ring.
When asked if he wanted to fight social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM), Portable dismissed the suggestion and insisted that Terry G was his preferred opponent.
He said:
“Me, I want to fight Terry G.”
When the interviewer asked if he would rather fight VDM, Portable replied:
“It’s Terry G that I want to fight. I will beat him. I want to resurrect his career. If Terry G fights me one-on-one in boxing, I swear to God, he will rise again. People will remember him again.”
Portable’s comments have sparked reactions online, with many fans expressing surprise over his latest challenge.
The singer is no stranger to celebrity boxing, having faced several public figures over the past two years, including actor Charles Okocha, singer Speed Darlington, and content creator Carter Efe.
Terry G is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s biggest street music icons, known for hit songs such as Free Madness, Akpako, and Run Mad, which dominated the music scene in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
