Champions League: Osimhen To Be In Galatasaray’s Starting XI Against Barcelona

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is set to return to the club’s starting XI when they face Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League later this month.

According to reports from A Spor via Sabah Sports, the Nigerian forward is expected to feature against Barcelona, while his playing time could depend on his fitness and the flow of the game.

Galatasaray will host Barcelona at Rams Park on Tuesday, October 13, in what is expected to be one of the club’s major Champions League fixtures.

Before the Barcelona encounter, Galatasaray will face Kasımpaşa in a Turkish Super Lig match on October 9. Osimhen is also expected to receive some playing time in that game as he continues his return from injury.

The Nigeria international has missed Galatasaray’s recent matches against Sporting Lisbon, Kocaelispor and Trabzonspor because of a groin injury.

Osimhen sustained the injury during Galatasaray’s victory over Başakşehir last month. His absence also ruled him out of Nigeria’s recent international fixtures against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau during the international break.
