Champions League Play-Offs: Three New Teams Qualify Ahead Of Thursday’s Draw

Three teams have secured their places in the league phase of this season’s UEFA Champions League after successfully coming through the play-offs.

The teams that qualified are Bodø/Glimt, Sabah and LASK.

Bodø/Glimt will return to the Champions League for the second consecutive season, while Sabah of Azerbaijan and LASK of Austria will make their first appearances in the competition’s league phase.

Bodø/Glimt booked their place after overcoming NEC Nijmegen, while Sabah defeated Hapoel Be’er Sheva in extra time.

LASK produced a remarkable comeback against Celtic. After trailing 4-0 on aggregate following the first leg in Glasgow, the Austrian side won the second leg 5-1 to complete a stunning turnaround.

Four more play-off second-leg matches will be played on Wednesday to decide the remaining teams that will join the 36 clubs in the league phase.

The draw for the Champions League league phase will take place on Thursday in Monaco.
