Paris Saint-Germain remain top of the UEFA Champions League league-phase table after winning their opening three matches of the competition.

The defending champions strengthened their position with an impressive 4-2 victory over Barcelona at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, maintaining their perfect record.

PSG have collected nine points from three matches but sit above Aston Villa only on goal difference, with the English club also winning all three of its opening fixtures.

Liverpool, Real Madrid and Real Betis complete the top five, with all three clubs also sitting on nine points after Matchday Three.

The results underline the tight competition at the top of the standings, as several teams remain level on points while goal difference separates their positions.

At the other end of the table, Viking, Porto, Lille and Slovan Bratislava occupy the bottom four positions following their performances in the opening three matchdays.
