Cristiano Ronaldo Gives Condition To Make Portugal Return Amid Jesus Rift
Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly made his position clear on what would be required for him to return to the national team.
The 41-year-old forward walked out of Portugal’s training camp ahead of the UEFA Nations League matches against Denmark and Norway.
Ronaldo’s departure followed a disagreement with head coach Jorge Jesus after the veteran striker was left on the bench for the entire 90 minutes during Portugal’s match against Croatia.
The situation has reportedly created a serious rift between Ronaldo and Jesus, with the relationship between the two men now described as completely broken.
Ronaldo has since returned to Saudi Arabia to resume his duties with Al Nassr after leaving the Portugal camp.
According to CNN Portugal, Ronaldo has told those close to the situation that he would only return to the national team if Jesus is no longer the head coach.
