Davido’s logistics manager, Isreal DMW, has dismissed allegations that the singer was involved in Naira Marley’s ordeal following the death of singer Mohbad or any alleged plan to have social media activist VeryDarkMan arrested.

Isreal made the clarification in a statement addressed to Nigerians on his social media handle, insisting that Davido had no involvement in the controversies surrounding Naira Marley.

He explained that individuals who were members of the WhatsApp group allegedly connected to the controversy joined without Davido’s knowledge or approval. “Those who were in that WhatsApp group, got there without his instructions or approval,” he said.

Isreal also questioned why Davido would have been involved in a dispute with music producer Samklef, requested Mohbad’s music catalogue or attempted to sign Zinoleesky, who was previously associated with Naira Marley. “Oga called for Mohbad’s catalogue or even made attempt to sign Zino? How na? Those who told VDM that, fully lied,” he stated.

He further revealed that Davido faced pressure to unfollow Naira Marley on Instagram but refused, saying he wanted the police to carry out their investigation rather than rely on unverified claims. “No, that he wants the police to do their job, that he doesn’t want to believe on any hearsay,” Isreal explained.

Maintaining that both artistes were on good terms, Isreal said Davido and Naira Marley had collaborated on a hit song. “Naira and Oga are cool. They even made a hit song,” he added.
