Fuji music star Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM 1, has reacted for the first time to allegations that he fathered and abandoned a 12-year-old girl identified as Azizat.

The singer addressed the controversy during a live performance at the 10th coronation anniversary of the Onikate of Ikate, Oba Lateef Adams.

The allegations surfaced after a woman, Ogechi Eleana, claimed in an interview that she was once KWAM 1’s pedicurist and had a relationship with him for more than seven years.

According to Ogechi, she became pregnant during the relationship and the singer allegedly asked her to terminate the pregnancy, promising to provide money for the procedure. She said she refused and later lost contact with him.

Responding to the claims, KWAM 1 neither confirmed knowing Ogechi nor admitted having a relationship with her. Instead, he dismissed the allegations and urged those making such claims to continue discussing them on social media.

“On your phone, turn on Bluetooth. Go to TikTok, then go to Facebook. Anybody who has an unnecessary pregnancy is just like a giveaway. These children, don’t kill me. Go and say it on TikTok and other social media platforms,” he said during the performance.

Ogechi also claimed that she later sought help from the late Kabiru Agbabiaka, who allegedly contacted the singer on her behalf.

She further alleged that she took her daughter to visit KWAM 1’s late mother, who became emotional after noticing the girl’s resemblance to the musician.

Azizat, who appeared alongside her mother during the interview, appealed for help, saying financial difficulties had forced her to stop attending school.

The 12-year-old also revealed that she has written her own songs inspired by her life experiences and hopes to pursue a career in music. She appealed to KWAM 1 to support her and her mother.
