Nigerian content creator and self-acclaimed financial coach, Geh Geh, has advised men not to make major financial investments in women they are dating.

Speaking during an interview on the BTC Podcast, Geh Geh argued that many relationships are based on financial dependence rather than genuine love or commitment.

He urged men to focus on improving their own financial situation instead of spending heavily on their girlfriends.

According to him, many men make costly financial mistakes by neglecting themselves in an effort to please their partners.

“Don’t train a woman in school. Don’t stress yourself for a woman. Don’t open a business for a woman,” he said.

When asked if women also make sacrifices by committing to one man through marriage, Geh Geh dismissed the comparison.

“Man and woman no be the same,” he said.

He also claimed that women enjoy financial benefits after getting married.

“The day a woman marries you, she won’t pay rent again,” he added.

Explaining his views further, Geh Geh said he is not against relationships but believes people should not enter relationships as a way to escape poverty.

“I’m not really against relationships. I dey against women wey wan use relationship take escape poverty. When you dey neglect yourself to please a woman, na financial mistake, you go cry,” he said.

He also referred to the animal kingdom, claiming that in many species, female animals search for food, adding that men should protect their finances instead of making expensive sacrifices for their romantic partners.
