EFCC Arraigns Three Suspects Over Alleged Visa Fraud In Ibadan

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned three suspects over alleged visa fraud in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The suspects, Emmanuel Serah Motunrayo, Awotunde Olugbenga and Idowu Olugbemi Sunday, were arraigned before Justice Olusola Adetujoye of the Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan.

The development was disclosed by Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, in a statement made available.

According to Oyewale, the suspects were brought before the court by the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the commission in connection with the alleged visa fraud.

During the proceedings, counsel to the defendants, Jimoh Wasiu, informed the court that applications for their bail had been filed.

He urged the court to grant the defendants bail pending the hearing and determination of the charges against them.

Justice Adetujoye, however, adjourned the case until August 26, 2026, for hearing of the bail applications.

The judge also ordered that the three suspects be remanded at the Agodi Correctional Facility pending the next hearing.
