Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has publicly apologised to her colleague and former associate, Laide Bakare, following the backlash over her reaction during a recent interview.

Eniola issued the apology on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, after facing criticism on social media over her reaction when Laide Bakare’s name was mentioned on the Curiosity Made Me Asked podcast.

The actress, who is reportedly not on good terms with Laide, addressed the controversy in a series of posts on Instagram, acknowledging that her reaction may have appeared dismissive.

In her statement, Eniola expressed regret over the incident and called for peace between them despite their differences.

She wrote:

“On reflection, I realise my reaction when Laide Bakare’s name was mentioned during my recent interview could have come across as dismissive, and for that, I sincerely apologise.

“Laide, whatever our differences, I choose peace and I genuinely wish you well. Joo maa binu (please don’t be offended) no negativity. No grudges. Let love lead and peace reigns.”
