EPL: They Look Head And Shoulders Above Others – Alan Pardew Makes Title Prediction

Former Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has backed Arsenal to win the Premier League title again this season.

Pardew believes the Gunners currently look “head and shoulders” above the other teams in the league.

The former Premier League manager made the prediction after Arsenal defeated Manchester City 3-0 to win the Community Shield on Sunday.

Pardew admitted that defending the Premier League title will be difficult for Arsenal, but he believes Mikel Arteta’s side have shown enough quality to remain favourites.

“It’s always difficult to win the Premier League, especially back-to-back, and Arsenal are going to try and do that.

“It’s going to be a tough season, but at the moment you have to say wow, they look head and shoulders [above the rest] at the moment,” Pardew said on talkSPORT.

Arsenal won the Premier League ahead of Manchester City last season, ending their long wait for the title.

The Gunners will now aim to successfully defend their crown and become champions again in the 2026/27 campaign.
