EPL: ‘They’ll win 2-1’ – Carragher, Ian Wright predict score of Liverpool vs Arsenal

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher and Arsenal legend Ian Wright have given their predictions ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash between the two English giants.

Liverpool will welcome Arsenal to Anfield on Sunday evening in what promises to be an important encounter in the Premier League.

Arsenal head into the fixture following their Carabao Cup elimination at the hands of Fleetwood Town, while Liverpool progressed after knocking Chelsea out of the competition.

Speaking on The Overlap, Carragher was asked to predict the outcome of the highly anticipated encounter.

The former Liverpool defender backed his old club to secure a narrow victory, saying: “I will go 2-1, Liverpool.”

Wright, however, predicted a different outcome, expressing confidence in Arsenal’s chances of winning at Anfield.

“I think we beat them. This is the game that kind of defines Liverpool if they are coming back. I really think we beat them. 2-1 Arsenal,” the former Arsenal striker said.

The two football legends therefore expect a closely contested match, with Carragher backing Liverpool to win 2-1 and Wright tipping Arsenal to claim the same scoreline.
