EPL: ‘They’re The Strongest Team’ – Ex-Chelsea Star Leboeuf Names Club To Win Title
Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Leboeuf has backed Arsenal to win the Premier League title again in the 2026/27 season.
Arsenal ended their 22-year wait for the Premier League title last season under manager Mikel Arteta. The Gunners also came close to winning their first UEFA Champions League trophy but lost to Paris Saint-Germain in the final.
Leboeuf believes Arsenal are the strongest team in the league and remain his favourites to retain the title, regardless of any further signings they make before the transfer window closes.
The former France international admitted there have been concerns about the fitness of some Arsenal players but believes the squad has enough quality and confidence to compete with any team when they are at their best.
Speaking to ESPN, as reported by Metro UK, Leboeuf said:
“Arsenal have some assurances and they know that with the team they have right now they can be better [than] anybody else.
“With Gabriel Magalhaes and Saliba in the lineup, they are formidable; they know they are stronger than any other team, and that is the reality. If I were an Arsenal supporter, I would not be concerned. Can they achieve a consecutive Premier League title? Yes, they are my favorites, but they must prove it.”
Arsenal have also strengthened their squad ahead of the new season. The Gunners signed Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United for £75 million, while Greek winger Christos Tzolis and free-agent goalkeeper Ilian Meslier have also joined the club.
