EPL: They’ve Quality Players – Ally McCoist Picks Team To Watch Out For This Season

1. Former Scotland international Ally McCoist believes Chelsea could be one of the teams to watch this season.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the former Rangers striker praised the quality in Chelsea’s squad and expressed confidence in new manager Xabi Alonso.

“I’m really interested to see how Chelsea starts the season,” McCoist said.

“I think they could be one to watch; they have obviously got some real quality players. Of course they have.

“And I just think with a bit of togetherness, a bit of direction, I like the manager, and I think it is a shrewd move bringing those two players [Henderson and Welbeck] in.”

Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League last season and missed out on qualification for the UEFA Champions League. McCoist believes the club has the quality to improve significantly under Alonso this season.
