EPL: ‘They’ve Strengthened’ – Steve Bruce Snubs Man Utd, Names Team To Win Title

Former Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has backed Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season while dismissing Manchester United’s chances of lifting the trophy.

Bruce believes Arsenal remain the team to beat after winning the Premier League title last season.

The former manager made the comments while responding to a question about whether Manchester United should be considered favourites to win the league this season.

When asked if Manchester United are favourites, Bruce said via talkSPORT:

“I think that is too much too soon.

“But I still think Arsenal are the ones to beat, and they have just strengthened as well with Bruno Guimaraes alongside Declan Rice. And I still believe there’s one or two coming into Arsenal.

“They are still the ones to beat. They won it at a canter in the end, didn’t they? So they are the ones to beat.”

Bruce’s comments suggest that he expects Arsenal’s strong squad and recent success to give them an advantage in the race for the Premier League title, while he believes it is too early to consider Manchester United as serious favourites.
