Europa League: Amorim Provides Injury Update On Chukwueze Ahead Of Bournemouth Clash
AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim has provided an update on Samuel Chukwueze’s fitness after the Nigerian winger sustained a hip injury.
Chukwueze missed Wednesday morning’s training session as AC Milan continued preparations for their UEFA Europa League encounter against Premier League side Bournemouth.
The Nigerian international was expected to undergo a specialist examination on Wednesday to determine the extent of the injury.
There are concerns that the setback could keep the winger out of action for several weeks or potentially months, depending on the severity of the problem.
Amorim confirmed that the club would continue assessing Chukwueze’s condition over the coming days before determining his recovery timeline and availability.
“Tomorrow we will see the starting XI. Gonçalo has nothing serious. Chukwueze is a little bit different. I will see in the next few days. We are going to assess Chukwueze,” Amorim was quoted as saying by Football Italia.
