“God Told Me He Was The One, But I Still Blocked Him” – Ruth Kadiri Opens Up On How She Met Her Husband

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has revealed how she met her husband, saying she received a spiritual confirmation that he was her future partner the very first day they met.

Speaking in a recent interview with DANG, the actress disclosed that she was never obsessed with marriage while growing up and never spent time fantasizing about becoming a wife.

“I’ve never really been the girl who sits down and thinks about marriage. It wasn’t a thing for me. I didn’t even know whether I was going to marry. I knew I was a catch and anyone that was going to marry me was going to be lucky.”

According to Ruth, she met her husband in a work environment when he approached her and attempted to strike up a conversation.

Although she was not initially interested in him, she eventually gave him a chance and they began discussing business opportunities, importation, and Vietnam.

She said that as she was about to leave after their interaction, she felt a clear message from God about him.

“As I was about to walk away, the Spirit of God told me he’s my husband.”

Despite the revelation, Ruth admitted that she blocked him just two days later.

“Two days later, I blocked him, but he went the extra mile to find me.”

The actress added that his determination eventually paid off, as he later reconnected with her and proposed after only a few months.

“Four months later, he proposed to me and I accepted.”

Ruth Kadiri also revealed that she was in another relationship at the time she met her future husband before eventually agreeing to go on a date with him.

She noted that sharing parts of her relationship journey publicly helped her remain committed to the process, which eventually led to marriage.
