Gunmen Kill Three Members Of Kaduna Vigilance Service
Suspected gunmen on Monday killed three members of the Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVIS) along the Zaria-Pambegua road in Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
KADVIS spokesman, Yunusa Shehu Ibrahim, said the personnel were carrying out routine security checks along the road when the incident occurred.
According to him, the deceased attempted to stop a red Volkswagen Golf saloon car, but the driver refused to stop. The personnel then pursued the vehicle to ascertain the identity of its occupants.

Ibrahim said the armed men inside the vehicle subsequently opened fire on the security personnel, killing three of them.
He identified the victims as Dallami Dantani, Abdullahi Hamisu and Zakariyya Musa.
The attackers reportedly later went to the KADVIS office, where they opened fire and injured Hamisu and Musa before fleeing towards Zaria.
The Kaduna State Commander of KADVIS, Ali Audu, condoled with the families of the deceased, describing their deaths as a painful loss to the service, Kaduna State and the country.
He assured the families that the sacrifices of the personnel would not be forgotten and commended them for their courage and dedication to duty.
Audu added that security personnel had intensified surveillance around Pambegua and neighbouring areas as efforts continued to apprehend the perpetrators.
