‘I Dey Pray Make Person No Go Contact Disease’ – Jide Awobona Raises Concerns Over Kissing Roles
Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has expressed concerns about kissing scenes in movies, saying he worries about possible health risks when actors are required to kiss their colleagues.
Awobona shared his experience during an interview with Yanga FM, where he revealed that he once had to kiss an actress who had bad breath while filming.
When asked if he kisses in movies, the actor responded in Pidgin English:
“Yes, I have done it. But if you get that kind funny odor, I go japa oo. I no fit kiss you.”
The interviewer then asked him if he had ever acted with someone who had mouth odour.
Awobona confirmed that he had experienced such a situation and explained that he had to go somewhere to wash his mouth after the scene.
“Yes, I don act with somebody wey get mouth odor. And I go one place go wash my mouth. And the person con see me.
“I just dey pray make person no go contact something because I don tire,” the actor revealed.
Awobona’s comments have sparked discussions about the challenges actors face during intimate scenes, particularly concerns about hygiene and possible health risks when filming kissing scenes.
