“I Don’t See Any Good Candidate” — Singer Skales Dismisses 2027 Presidential Hopefuls
Nigerian singer Skales has sparked reactions on social media after expressing a lack of confidence in the candidates expected to contest the 2027 presidential election.
The discussion began after journalist Oseni Rufai asked social media users who they would vote for in the next presidential election.
Responding to the question, Skales said he would not support any of the available candidates.
His comment attracted reactions from other users, with one X user identified as Jayfreshworld suggesting that the singer may not have properly researched the candidates before making his decision.
The user wrote: “When You Say None Means You Haven’t Done Your Research, There Are Good Candidates On That List.”
However, Skales stood by his position and replied:
“To Be Honest, None! I Don’t See Any Good Candidate That Can Take This Country To A Better Place.”
The singer’s remarks have since generated debate online, with many Nigerians sharing different opinions about the 2027 election and discussing what qualities the country’s next leader should possess.
The conversation has also reignited discussions about voter confidence, political leadership, and expectations ahead of the next presidential election.
