‘I Don’t Think Peter And Paul Will Come Back Together’ – P-Square’s Eldest Brother

Henry Okoye, the eldest brother of the former music duo P-Square, has expressed doubts about the possibility of Peter and Paul Okoye reconciling and returning to the close relationship they once shared.

Henry spoke during an interview with social commentator Jos Connection at the family’s residence in Plateau State, where he discussed the renewed dispute involving Peter, Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.

Although Henry acknowledged that Peter had made efforts to resolve the family disagreement, he said the prolonged conflict may have caused serious damage to the relationship between the twins.

He stated, “I will be happy for them to come back together, but I don’t think it will happen. Paul was a very kind person.”

Henry appealed to Paul to reconcile with Peter, recalling what he described as Peter’s support for his twin during a difficult period.

He also expressed surprise at what he described as a change in Paul’s attitude over the years.

“I don’t know if Jude used juju on Paul because he was the nicest person in the family before. But the way he changed is surprising,” Henry alleged.

He said he had followed Peter’s public accounts of the events surrounding the latest crisis and believes the family needs to resolve its differences.

“What is happening now is my prayer. I watched all Peter’s series on what transpired,” he said.

Henry also spoke about his own grievances concerning the early years of P-Square. He claimed that he was promised 20 per cent of the duo’s earnings when they started becoming successful, but alleged that Jude later intervened.

“They promised me 20 per cent when they started making money. Jude intervened and dismissed that.

“I challenged him that he wasn’t there when we started everything but now chasing everybody away from them,” he claimed.

According to Henry, Peter later directed him to Jude when he raised concerns about money he believed he was owed.

“When Peter’s wife’s dad died, I spoke to them about why they left only me in Jos. Peter said I should meet Jude; he’s the one holding my money,” he said.

Henry added that several people had tried to mediate in the family dispute but their efforts had not produced the desired result.

“I want all the family to come back. I have tried my best. Even Shehu Dantata spoke to them and they didn’t listen,” he stated.

The disagreement between Peter and Paul contributed to the breakup of P-Square in 2017 after years of reported disputes surrounding their music career and management.

The twins later reconciled in 2021, giving fans hope that their differences had been settled.

However, another dispute emerged in 2024. Peter accused Paul and Jude of working against him and questioned how the group’s finances were being managed.

Peter also alleged that Northside Music Limited, a company linked to Jude and his wife, received royalties belonging to P-Square.

Paul rejected the allegations and defended Jude, while accusing Peter of contributing to the legal problems involving their elder brother.

The dispute later became connected to legal proceedings after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned Jude over allegations involving ₦1.38 billion, $1 million and £34,537.59.

Peter testified during the case, alleging that Jude secretly incorporated Northside Music Limited and used the company to receive royalties belonging to P-Square.

However, during cross-examination in February 2026, Peter acknowledged that he was a co-signatory to the account of Northside Entertainment Limited, amid the continuing disagreement over the management of the group’s finances.

The legal case and the wider family dispute have continued to generate different accounts from the brothers.

Despite the ongoing crisis, Henry said he still wants peace within the Okoye family.

He said he has forgiven everyone involved and urged his siblings to put their differences aside.

Henry appealed to Jude to help resolve the disagreement and also called on Paul to forgive Peter.

“I want all the family to come back. I have tried my best,” he said, stressing that his greatest wish is to see the Okoye family reunited after years of public disagreements.
